For nearly 30 years as a therapist, I sat across from women who were smart, capable, caring, and completely exhausted from trying to be everything to everyone. They were so good at taking care of everyone else that they became experts at putting themselves last.

Perhaps you've met them. Or perhaps you've been them. These beautiful women were the dependable ones. The peacekeepers. The overthinkers. The people-pleasers. The empaths. The ones who could understand everyone's perspective, make allowances for everyone's feelings, and somehow still worry they'd done something wrong.

Now, as a women's empowerment and emotional resilience coach, I bring those three decades of clinical experience into coaching that's practical, honest, compassionate — and so authentic that the language sometimes gets a little spicy.

I'm here to help you figure out what you need, and actually do something about it. That means caring about other people without making yourself responsible for their feelings. Honoring your needs without apologizing for having them.

Giving yourself grace without using grace as an excuse to stay stuck. Knowing when to bend, and when to stand your ground. You don't need to lose your kindness, become less caring, or turn into someone you're not. You just need to give yourself permission to extend that same compassion, understanding, and grace to yourself — and the courage to act on what you know is true for you.
That's the work I do now. I'd love for you to join me.

Kind Words

- Kristen B.

Working with Jen has changed the way I see myself and my relationships. I’ve spent so much of my life putting other people first, worrying about disappointing others, and taking on everyone else’s feelings. I didn’t always realize how often I was putting myself last.

Through our work together, I’ve learned that setting boundaries doesn’t make me selfish or uncaring, and that I can prioritize myself without feeling guilty. I’ve started to understand where my people-pleasing comes from and, more importantly, I’m learning that I don’t have to abandon my own needs just to keep everyone else happy...

Jen has a wonderful ability to listen without judgment and help you see things from a different perspective. Her support helped me become more confident in myself and navigate difficult moments with a healthier perspective.

I’m grateful for the impact she has had on my life, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate, understanding, and encouraging life coach. She truly cares about helping people become the best version of themselves.

When I met Jen, I couldn’t name my own emotions, I didn’t know what it meant to be an empath, and I didn’t know how to quiet my mind. I minimized my own feelings and experiences, and felt like there was something wrong with me. I felt resentment in my relationships, and didn’t like how that felt. I just knew something had to change. My work with Jen has been invaluable in helping me understand myself and the patterns I had learned that helped me cope but were no longer useful in my life. Jen helped me identify emotions and separate myself from others. I’ve learned to manage the emotional toll that comes with being an empath, and keep myself from becoming overwhelmed. I’m able to set boundaries and communicate my own emotions and needs in relationships, and still be a compassionate person. The noise has stopped and I feel more at peace than I’ve ever felt.
